If you’re a gearhead, you already know this story…
Did you collect Matchbox cars as a kid? Did you race in the pinewood derby or build radio controlled cars? Cars are a sickness that starts early in life, and is rarely ever cured. It grows over time, and our cars become part of who we are. You’re a gearhead. Welcome to Increasing Radius, we’re gearheads too.
Maybe you love to build them. Perhaps you enjoy Sunday morning drives, or maybe you can’t get enough of that white knuckle grin after nailing the perfect Turn 1 apex. My passion began with toy cars and Porsche posters, and grew into a lifelong love for the automobile. As a 20 year veteran of the Porsche Club of America, a driving instructor, and a die-hard DIY wrencher, I love repairing, restoring, racing and enjoying everything automotive.
I still own my 1984 Porsche 944 which originally got me hooked on Auto-x, and quickly spiraled into track days and racing mods. My thirst for fast laps spilled over into competitive enduro kart racing doing 100+ MPH on high speed race tracks. I’ve shared many late nights welding on cars in the shop, and many hot laps competing in the 24 Hours of Lemons while paying tribute to some of the best endurance cars of all time. Lemons is arguably the purest FUN you can have on the track at any price. I’ve even taken my sickness onto two wheels to enjoy that feeling that comes only from a motorcycle and a twisty road.
My best friends are gearheads, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Increasing Radius is one small way I say thanks to everyone that ensures cars will always be more than just transportation. We love to hear from our fans, and find out what makes your car passion unique.
